Hatsie's Women's Empowerment Center
The empowerment of women is critical to the health of women, families, and communities. Hatsie’s Women’s Empowerment Center supports women through the development of sewing and crafting skills. These skills provide women with a way to earn an income to support their families and contribute to the vitality of their communities.
Hatsie, through generous donations, began by collected six sewing machines, including one belonging to her late mother. She gladly parted with this family treasure in support of the women of Yurika Village. Hatsie also bought the first set of sewing materials to accompany the sewing machines to Sierra Leone! These supplies included five sets of 25-yard fabric in 5 different colors.
Hatsie's mission is already inspiring others who have donated several more sewing machines and sewing supplies!
