Mama Aminata's Story of Hope

In Yurika, we met Mama Aminata, who had been struggling with chronic abdominal pain for over a year. She was brought to the clinic unable to walk on her own, talk, eat, or drink. Mama Aminata appeared dehydrated and emaciated, and her family reported that she was constantly in pain, and had frequent nausea and vomiting. We diagnosed her with GERD, H. pylori and stabilized her in the clinic using IV hydration with donated antibiotics, magnesium hydroxide, and omeprazole. She was discharged home at the end of the day able to walk, talk, and eat oatmeal without nausea, vomiting, or abdominal pain. Mama Aminata was discharged with appropriate management and follow up care scheduled at the clinic and continues to improve. Your support drastically changes the quality of life of people like Mama Aminata, who have been suffering from chronic illnesses with no access to medical care.
